When staying at Disney World there is a mind boggling choice of places to eat. This is our top 10 Disney World dinning recommendations. This is a no holds bar best dining options that means price and dinning type have no effect on this list so here we go.
1. Victoria & Alberts – Grand Floridian
You really can’t go wrong dinning at V&A. There is an 8-course or 14-course menu made for you by the chef with optional wine parings. Keep in mind there is an age limit you have to be 10 or above and require a dinner jacket (tie optional).
2. Fireworks Dessert Party – Magic Kingdom
Watching the fireworks at the magic kingdom is definitely a magical experience. The dessert party combines the magic of the fireworks with all you care to enjoy drinks (non-alcoholic) and desserts. There is a boat party with alcoholic drinks but the one within the Magic Kingdom is still our favorite.
3. California Grill – Contemporary Hotel
With its amazing views of the magic kingdom and ability to return and watch the fireworks there are lots of pros to this restaurant. Named for California there is a mix of amazing seafood and sushi as well as California wine.
4. Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Room – Grand Floridian
Afternoon tea is an amazing thing even more so at Disney World. With options for you little princess or prince and of course champagne for adults this is a great interpretation of the English staple.
5. Crystal Palace Character Dinning – Magic Kingdom
This character dinning spot is perfect for kids and in the magic kingdom so you can get back to enjoying the attractions quickly. Here you will see Winnie the Pooh and friends. Food is buffet style and there is a Congo line celebration with the characters.
6. 1900 Park Fare Character Dinning – Grand Floridian
With good food and Alice in Wonderland themed character breakfast, wonderland themed tea parties and Cinderella themed dinner this restaurant has it all!
7. Cinderella’s Royal Table Character Dinning – Magic Kingdom
This is the perfect character dinning if you have a few girls with you. Here you will see just about every Disney Princess and even get your photo taken by a Disney Photographer with Cinderella. This restaurant is a great experience all around!
8. Be Our Guest – Magic Kingdom
Impeccably themed inside and out Be Our Guest gives diners 3 themed rooms from the ballroom, reading room and the forbidden east wing each room gives its own unique experience. The food may not be Disney’s best at this specific restaurant but decent food and great theming make this restaurant a must do. Don’t forget to try the grey stuff, it’s delicious! (kinda)
9. Chef Mickey’s Character Dinning – Contemporary Hotel
You definitely have to dine with Mickey. Here you will see both Mickey & Minnie Mouse as well as a bunch of additional characters. It can be a little loud being in the Grand Canyon Concourse but all in all this a great restaurant.
10. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant – Magic Kingdom
A perfect place to get a sandwich and ice cream, this restaurant is well placed and many people forget about it so you can catch it at a quiet time. Here you can expect to get a pretty stock standard deli sandwich but in a nice, sit down setting. Also the Mayor of the town comes in to say hello to everyone and that’s always fun.
It was really hard for us to stop at ten so here are a couple honourable mentions; the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort campgrounds, the Biergarten Restaurant in Epcot at the Germany pavilion, and the Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner show at Polynesian Village and Resort.
