In the exquisite Grand Floridian Resort in Walt Disney World sits Narcoossee’s. Sitting on the Seven Seas Lagoon with one of the best views of the Magic Kingdom this fresh costal cuisine restaurant will win you over! One of the signature dining facilities in the Grand Floridian Resort that serves mostly fresh seafood with some options for those who like a bit more turf over the surf. With a styling inside similar to that of the rest of the Grand Floridian Resort this upscale and very popular restaurant has great food, great views and during the Happily Ever After fireworks party the sound is piped right in and you can watch the show from the waterfront deck.
You really get a northern east coast feel here (maybe thats because I’m from the northern east coast) but you really get a Boston / Marthas Vineyard feel in this restaurant which fits in really well with the overall classic victorian feel for the Grand Floridian. You will not mistake this for anything other than a fresh seafood joint, when you walk in you can see the kitchen with the chefs and cooks plating some amazing works of art. The restaurant itself is shaped like an octagon and perhaps shines the most at night with the small twinkle lights that border all of the points of the octagon.
Food & Drink
The food here is amazing! As a signature restaurant inside of one of Disney Worlds nicest resorts you can expect some great food. This is probably one of our top 10 restaurants in Disney World along with Victoria & Alberts and California Grill. If you want to read more about California Grill your link is right here.
You will find a mix of North American cuisine with a focus on Seafood. For those who are not huge seafood fans you will also have an array of steaks and such which are amazingly well done also. Sometimes I find seafood places don’t make great steaks and burgers but this place makes great food regardless.
There is also a great array of fresh cocktails, wine and beer for those who like a drink with their meal. The wine assortment is quite large albeit not as big as the California grill.
Service is, as usual in Walt Disney World great. The servers are very attentive, they don’t rush the meal and they love to talk about all things Disney.
Value & Dining Plan
Value here is as always subjective, you can expect this to be a bit more expensive then most restaurants. Entree’s here are about $50 to $70 which is a bit higher then you may normally expect but with a great meal along with watching the Happily Ever After fireworks show you can really see how even with a higher cost its very well worth it.
Dining plans are accepted and you can expect to pay 2 table service credits for a meal here.
As with most Signature Dining experiences there is a business casual dress code so basically no ripped shirts, tank tops or torn jeans however shorts and a golf shit is always fine.
With the amazing food and viewing area for Happily Ever After this is a must visit restaurant on your Disney World vacation. It is a bit pricy but if you only go to one signature restaurant make sure this is in your short list. Its easy to get to, on the monorail loop and even just walking around the Grand Floridian is its self an experience so there isn’t much more I can say other than keep this restaurant top of mind.
