What to Wear on Celebrity Cruises

Our most recent Celebrity Cruises sailing was on the Edge and the sister ship is the Apex. We were sailing to the Caribbean and the day wear was casual, but what you wear during the day will depend on what climate you are in. If you are going to the Caribbean or a warmer climate you will want your swimsuits, cover ups, and sandals to hang out by the pool. If you are heading indoors to the dining room for lunch or to participate in one of their activities, having some casual clothes like shorts and a tshirt or a sundress works great. If traveling to Alaska during the day you will want layers to stay warm and be ready for the rain. The same casual clothes are worn inside when exploring the ship. The next section on Celebrity Cruises need to know video we look at nightwear which included smart casual and evening chic. On smart casual evenings for women this includes a dress, skirt, or jeans and a casual top. For men you need to have long pants like jeans or khakis, and polo or casual shirt. This is where we made our mistake. Aron has some nice shorts and those are not allowed, it must be long pants. So be sure to pack a couple pairs as you will be wearing them every night. Evening chic is what is replacing formal nights. Depending on the length of your cruise you will have one or two evening chic nights. Celebrity cruises is calling this a reboot of formal nights. It is not meant to be less dressy than formal night but you can still get dressed up. Women can wear a cocktail dress, skirt, jeans, or pants with an elegant top. Men can wear pants, jeans, dress shirt, button down shirt or a sweater and a jacket is optional. Out of all the cruise lines we have sailed with lately Celebrity Cruises is the most strict so we tell you everything you need to know.
