Swan Resort Disney World | Room & Resort Tour

We love going to disney world but it can be very expensive. Want to stay in the middle of all the magic but not pay disney resort prices? The Swan Resort Disney World is a great option. We are going to go over the location, theming, room tour, amenities, value and what we loved and hated about the swan resort to help you decide if this resort is right for you.

What is great about the Disney World Swan Resort is the location. It is in the Epcot resort area within walking distance to the boardwalk, Epcot and Hollywood studios. The Boardwalk is a lot of fun in the evenings with entertainment and great dining options so it is really nice to be able to walk over there. If you are looking to get to Epcot and Hollywood studios you can walk which will take 15-20min or there is a boat which is a nice option after a long day of walking and enjoying the parks. Disney World has two other parks and water parks which you can get buses to. We found the buses from the Swan Hotel Disney World do not get you as close as if you were staying at a Disney resort so you might have a bit more of a walk or need to transfer to a monorail or ferry.

One of the special parts of a Disney Resort is the theming. Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort had a major renovation in 2015 and they did a great job integrating the water theming with sophistication. The main building is 12 stories tall and the two wings are 7 stories. A memorable feature is the massive 46 feet tall swans that are on the end of the two wings. We really enjoyed walking around exploring and taking in all the details. There are nice little courtyards you can take your morning coffee to relax. The mix of whites, blues and grays look fantastic and bring together the swan, water and outdoor feeling.

One of the other great things about the Swan Resort is the amenities. Disney Swan and Dolphin resort share amenities and you can also use the amenities at the Swan Reserve. The pool at the Swan Hotel is nice and quiet, the Dolphin pool has water slides and caves, the Swan Reserve pool has made a comfortable outdoor area but it can be busy for its size. There is not lack of amenities at the Swan Resort Disney World including a spa, children activities centre and lots of restaurants. It is really nice the resorts share amenities as well.
