Docking Bay 7 - Food & Cargo at Disney World

Do you love Star Wars? Have you ever wanted to try food from different galaxies? For today's Disney Dining Review we are at Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu and we are dining at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.  We’ll tell you all about the food here, what we thought of it and if it's worth being on your list the next time you’re at Disney World.

Galaxy's Edge Docking Bay 7 has a space/Starwars theme. You’ll be eating in a working hanger bay with food acquired from all over the galaxy. The food is also very heavily themed and when they opened the restaurant a while back they had to change many of the food names as people didn't know what “Tip Yip” was so they had to add chicken to ensure everyone knew what protein it was.  The seating at Docking Bay 7 Disney World  was good with great outdoor seating and some unique booths and chairs inside.

Of course our Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo review will include the menu. The food is quite interesting here, from Batuuan Beef Pot Roast (which is braised beef pot roast, cavatelli pasta, mushroom as wilted kale) to Smoked Kaadu Pork Ribs (which are sticky pork ribs, blueberry corn muffin and cabbage slaw). It's not a huge menu however, and it does change slightly between lunch and dinner.  At dinner you can also get the Ronto Wrap (which is roasted pork, grilled pork sausage, peppercorn sauce, tangy slaw all wrapped in pita bread).  This is served with plantain and assorted root vegetable chips. We share what we had as well as discuss the value.

If you’re looking for a great theme and willing to spend a little more money  to immerse yourself in the star wars feeling, then Galaxy's Edge Docking Bay 7 could really be up your alley.  That said, if you are just looking for a meal then you can definitely go elsewhere and find cheaper food options.  Between the theme and the fairly decent food, Docking Bay 7 gives you a unique experience with some fun interior theming, seating and food choices but is slightly more expensive than your standard Disney theme park food.
