Bahia Mar - Fort Lauderdale Florida

Looking for a hotel near the Fort Lauderdale cruise port? Want a beach front hotel? Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale is a great option. In our video we review the location, theming, a room tour and more. 

The location is always important when picking a hotel. Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale beach access is very easy. There is a pedestrian bridge right from the hotel lobby or you can cross the road from the parking lot. The Bahia Mar is  only about 10 minutes from Port Everglades making it great hotel to stay in just before a cruise.  This is a Hilton Doubletree resort with 296 guest rooms across 15 stories and also has a 250 slip marina attached where you’ll see lots of mega yachts.  

If you are not interested in the beach, don't worry. the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale has a pool with a pool bar. It was very popular when we were there and people were having a great time. One of the draw backs for us was that there wasn't any room service. However next door there is The Market Deli and Liquor that has some grab and go options. 

As expected there is no specific “theme” to these rooms at the Bahia Mar Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, beyond classic Floridian.  The architecture of the building harrolds back to the heydays of Fort Lauderdale, however the rooms and main areas have all be nicely refreshed and modernized. You can still see small details from the rooms and or how the pool was built that harrold back to those classic Floridians architecture.
