The Amber Cove Dominican Republic Port on opened to travellers in 2015. It is Carnival Corporations private port which is only 7 miles from Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. In terms of arrivals and departures there is no need to tender as there is a large pier which can hold two large cruise ships. This means you get off to the fun faster. Our Amber Cove tour is going to take you through the entire process so you know what to expect.
The port atmosphere at Dominican Republic Amber Cove is like a Port Retreat as it is a massive 30 acres. It is open to Carnival Cruises and their other brands like Princess Cruises and Holland America. There is no shortage of things to do with water-sports, shopping, dinning, excursions and more. The Amber Cove Cruise Port has an Aqua Zone where you can find the pool, swim up bar, kids splash pad and more. Around the Amber Cove pool you will see cabanas that you can rent. There are also some amazing cabanas over the water. The price varies from $300 to over $1100 a day.
