🛳 Cruise Line News - Carnival Corp Resumes Cruising - Bahamas Return To Cruising Plan Announced

We have some big cruise line news to cover this week. Bahamas has announced their plan for when cruising can return. We are also seeing more large cruise ships return to sailing as Carnival Corp recommences cruising. All that and more so be sure to check out our cruise news today.

There have been no cruise ships docking in the Bahamas since March. This was a hard decision to make as tourism is a huge part of the countries GPD and employment levels. Bahamas announced that cruising can resume in Phase 4. We still have a little bit to wait as they are only entering phase 3 on October 15th. Phase 3 includes beaches and major hotels. Phase 4 includes cruises, casinos, ferries and some attractions. This is big news for the cruise line industry as lots of people are anxiously waiting for a return to cruising.

We actually see another cruise line resume this week as Costa Cruise Line sets sail. Costa is part of the Carnival Corp brand. Their first sailing was a 1 week round trip from Northern Italy. This cruise only had Italian passengers and stopped at Italian ports. Similar to MSC there were excursions and if you wanted to get off the boat at a port you had to do it with one of their planned excursions. It is very positive cruise news that more ships are sailing. The focus of these sailings continue to be Europe.

We hope that you liked our cruise line updates. What are your thoughts about Bahamas plan? Have you already booked sailings?
