Everything you need to know about Scarlet Lady & Virgin Voyages

There are a lot of amazing new cruise ships with their inaugural sailing set for 2020 and 2021. We're going to talk about the most interesting cruise line that hasn't even officially sailed, yet already has 2 ships with another on order, Virgin Voyages. This Scarlet Lady ship tour is going to tell you everything you need to know before you book and sail.

Before we start our Virgin Voyages cruise ship tour let's give you a bit of back ground information. Richard Branson is taking on the high seas with Virgin Cruise line. Designed unlike any other cruise ships this cruise will be like no other.  The Scarlet Lady is a 912 foot long ship and can carry 2,770 passengers and 1,150 crew. Its home port is set as Miami traveling to the Caribbean. Something we don't see too often in the cruise industry is a minimum age. Virgin Voyages are catering to adults and you need to be a minimum of 18 years old to sail and if you are 18-20 you need to be traveling with someone over 21.

A big part of cruising is the food. Our Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady tour gives you all the information you need to know about their unique dining experiences. There is no shortage of dining options on board with over 20 restaurants to enjoy. Some of the unique restaurants are Razzle Dazzle, The Test Kitchen, Pink Agave and The Galley. Virgin Cruise ship is not like any other. They have revamped all aspects of cruising.

We know that some cruisers are more interested in the drinks than food. When sailing on the Scarlet Lady some beverages are included like, water, both filtered and sparkling, sodas, non pressed juice, tea and drip coffee. They are providing a great selection of beverages to stay hydrated and energized. Virgin has recruited some established mixologists to create a spectacular beverage program. They also highlight that they create drinks to suit all budgets which is nice. For example you can get beers like Heineken and Amstel light for $5-6, a basic cocktail costs $9 and almost half of their wines by the glass are under $10. Virgin Voyages also offers a drink package. If you like to be able to pay before you sail, the prepaid bar tab might be something for you. If you buy a $300 prepaid bar tab they will give you an extra $100 to spend at any bar on board. You can then use it while on board to buy any premium beverage. What I like about this is you can buy it for anyone. So we could prepay one and share it between the two of us.

In keeping with all things Virgin, entertainment is going to be like no other experience on a cruise ship before. Our Scarlet Lady ship tour gives you an in-depth look at what you can expect on board. Some of the things to look out for are the Manor, The Aquatic Club, The Red Room and the B-Complex.

The next category for our ship tour is the cabins. Virgin Voyages have reimagined cabins and how you can use the space. There are different cabin types to choose from, the insider, sea view, sea terrace and rockstar quarters. I really like that all the balconies have hammocks to relax in. I hope they are comfortable. If you are looking for the ultimate rooms you will want to check out the RockStar Quarters. These  rooms range from 350 square feet to 2,147 square feet. The rooms are outfitted with premium amenities, marble clad bathrooms, spacious terrace and rockstar agents to help with any of your needs. You will also have access to Richards rooftop private lounge. I am interested to see what cruisers think of Scarlet Lady's cabins.

We hope that you enjoyed our Scarlet Lady ship tour. Are you interested in sailing with Virgin Voyages? Who is your favourite cruise line? Is there a new cruise ship that you want us to review? Let us know in the comments below.
